Hey there! Here is another bunch of cool names confirmed to play at Sziget 2011 this summer. Let’s start with the British singer-songwriter of Welsh and Greek descent ‘Marina & the Diamonds‘ (Alternatie Pop New Wave sound) scheduled to play on the A38-Wan2 Stage.
Rotfront are a Berlin based big band well known throughout the european continent for their wild and highly energetic performances. Their music is a really interesting mix of Eastern European sounds (Polka, Klezmer) with hot caribbean jamaican vibes (Reggae, Ska, Cumbia). They scheduled to play on the World Music Main Stage.
AfroCubism is a recent project born in 2010 from the collaboration between some of the Cuban and Malian finest musicians. The New York Times describes it as “a rich yet subtle fusion of African and Cuban sounds”. The several artists confirmed to play this summer are scheduled to play on the World Music Main Stage.
